Thanks for the tip of copying credit cards front and back and storing in a safe. Everywhere I go and am asked to fill out forms (such as at a new doctor’s office), they always ask for my social security number. Should I refuse to give the number? If they say I must? give my SS number or go elsewhere, should I go elsewhere? Why would a doctor’s office need my SS number?

These are great tips. Unfortunately, so many people think they are invisible when it comes to identity theft – that it will never happen to them. Your tips are easy to follow, and really won’t take much time. It’s definitely something to always keep? at the front of your mind.
